Inhoud

Doing business in Europe
(Culture, compliance and process)

Students should develop a process for a web-shop; first an organization sketch of the web-shop and then a process sketch of the sales process. Students should develop a sales process (database modeling / process modeling) where they need to comply to VAT requirements within Europe. VAT is the only tax that is not regulated in the European model treaty, but is based on a European directive. In case of a web store (especially with web purchases) there are a lot of VAT issues that entrepreneurs need to consider.

Students also need to understand the history of the European integration to be effective in doing business in Europe. So, this project is a unique combination between culture (history), compliance (tax legislation) and business process.
