Inhoud
- The student learns to manipulate melody, harmony and rhythm in relation to form and orchestration in an arrangement.
- The student learns to write scores and parts for jazz quintet, sextet, septet and 5 saxophones (with attention to layout, rehearsal markings, tempo markings, articulations, dynamics, etc.).
- The student will acquire the techniques to harmonize lines from 2 to 5 voices.
- The student learns the range and transposition of the trumpet, trombone, saxophones (soprano/alto/tenor/baritone), guitar and bass.
- The student acquires the basic knowledge for writing for piano, bass and drums.
