Learning Outcomes
LO 1: Relate
Being in the world, the student develops artistic work through a conscious engagement with selected sensations, perceptions, intuitions, environments, and social contexts, transforming these relationships into artistic motives, motivations, and practices that generate meaning, connection, and multiple perspectives.
LO 2: Investigate
The student articulates and applies an artistic methodology through an iterative process of making, reflecting, and researching, in which sources, references, experiences, and contexts are critically examined and interconnected, and reflective analysis of process and outcomes leads to coherent artistic concepts and propositions.
Inhoud
Graduation Research & Reflection focuses on the development and presentation of an independent research project that is intrinsically connected to the student’s artistic practice.
Students conduct in-depth research into conceptual, theoretical, and contextual aspects of their work, demonstrating the ability to formulate and sustain a coherent line of inquiry. They critically reflect on their artistic process and outcomes and articulate the relationship between research and practice.
The research is presented in a written thesis and/or equivalent format, supported by appropriate documentation and references. Students demonstrate knowledge of relevant artistic, theoretical, and professional contexts, and position their work within contemporary discourse.
Through this module, students evidence their capacity for critical reflection, analytical thinking, and professional articulation, completing their development as reflective practitioners.
