Level 3: Positioning & Profiling
A sufficient level is achieved when students demonstrate the ability to formulate their own objectives and conduct a comprehensive execution that demonstrates an integrated mastery of all competences.
Learning Outcomes
LO 4: Position
The student examines and articulates their artistic position within artistic, cultural, social, and global contexts, engaging with diverse perspectives, tensions, and sensitivities, and clarifies their stance by reflecting on the implications of their artistic choices for positioning, inclusion, and forms of engagement within their practice.
LO 5: Practice
The student organises and sustains an iterative artistic process and builds a professional art practice through profiling, presentations, networking, and collaboration, sharing work with relevant audiences and making informed choices that support a sustainable, self-driven, and future-oriented professional practice.
Inhoud
Professional Practice 7 focuses on the professional positioning and strategic development of the student as an artist within the contemporary art field.
Students deepen their understanding of the structures, stakeholders, and dynamics of professional practice and learn to navigate these in a strategic and informed manner. They develop and maintain professional networks, engage with external partners, and explore opportunities for sustaining their practice.
A central component of the course is the organisation, curation, and presentation of an exhibition, in which students collaboratively realise a professional presentation of their work. This includes consideration of spatial, conceptual, and communicative aspects, as well as engagement with diverse audiences.
Students further refine their skills in negotiation, communication, and contextual research, learning to articulate their work and working methods across different contexts and disciplines.
