- Artistic Creation
A sufficient level is achieved when students deliberately choose their own solutions for problems or assignments with a divergent nature, and when they demonstrate the ability to employ relevant competences, skill, and knowledge in doing so, based on research and experiment.
Learning Outcomes
LO 1: Relate
The student selects and responds to sensations, perceptions, intuitions, environments, and social contexts, developing these relationships into emerging artistic motives, motivations, and practices.
LO 2: Investigate
The student develops an artistic and conceptual approach through an increasingly independent and focused process of making, reflecting, and researching, in which relevant sources, references, and contexts are examined, and first artistic concepts and propositions are articulated.
LO 3: Materialise
As part of an increasingly independent artistic process, the student purposefully engages with material, form, intuition, reflection, and contemplation, and investigates the qualities and possibilities of different materials, techniques and technologies, showing a gradual awareness of how these shape the development and meaning of their work.
Inhoud
In Studio 5, students further develop their artistic practice through self-directed, practice-based research, experimentation and presentation. The studio becomes an increasingly self-defined working environment, in which students take responsibility for shaping their own processes, conditions and directions.
Students deepen their artistic inquiry by formulating and pursuing more focused and sustained research trajectories, connecting concept, material, context and presentation. Through iterative making, analysis and reflection, they consolidate their personal working method and refine their criteria for evaluating their work.
The studio is approached flexibly as a site of production, presentation and exchange, which may extend into physical, social or virtual contexts. Students are encouraged to develop a self-generating practice that is adaptable and resilient beyond the educational environment.
The Theory component supports independent practice-based research, critical reflection and articulation, enabling students to position their work in relation to conceptual, theoretical and societal frameworks.
Through the OffCourse, students engage with external contexts such as exhibitions, lectures and professional encounters, strengthening their ability to relate their work to a broader field.
