Leeruitkomsten

Level 2: Exploration
A sufficient level is achieved when students deliberately choose their own solutions for problems or assignments with a divergent nature, and when they demonstrate the ability to employ relevant competences, skill, and knowledge in doing so, based on research and experiment.

Learning Outcomes

LO 1: Relate

Being in the world, the student observes, experiences, and responds to sensations, perceptions, and intuitions with growing independence, translating these into artistic motifs and motivations in an increasingly deliberate and consistent manner.

LO 2: Investigate
The student applies an artistic methodology through a process of making, reflecting, and researching with increasing independence, and examines artistic outcomes by relating them to relevant sources, references, and contexts in a structured way, formulating artistic propositions.

LO 3: Materialise
As part of their artistic process, the student experiments with and applies the qualities, ambiguity, and significance of materials and technologies with increasing independence, making considered material and process-based choices in the creation of work.

LO 4: Position
The student examines and articulates their artistic position in relation to diverse perspectives and contexts with increasing independence, and positions their work by engaging with tensions, sensitivities, and questions of belonging.

LO 5: Practise
The student organises and maintains an artistic process with increasing independence, works with others within a practice, and presents work to relevant audiences, making deliberate choices in relation to a developing professional practice.

Inhoud

In Semester 6, students follow an individual learning trajectory that allows them to deepen and expand their artistic practice in relation to their personal ambitions and professional orientation. Students choose from a range of options. Within Fine Arts there is the option Fine Art Studio (AMVB26ST6). The students coming in for an Internal Exchange will enter this programme as well.

In the semester 6 Fine Art Studio programme, the student focuses on their artistic development and working process. The programme embeds the Labs and Professional Practices course, including the theory elements.  Emphasis lies on articulating an individual artistic voice and positioning in relation to the artistic and professional field.
Students will work cooperatively towards presenting their work in different group exhibitions on external locations in a public event, called “MayDays”.
