Applying the psychological body of knowledge 
A graduate of the Bachelor of Applied Psychology applies practical knowledge of commonly used psychological concepts, models, and perspectives to professional issues in the roles of behavior assessor and behavior influencer. 
Assessing behavior 
A graduate of the Bachelor of Applied Psychology is capable of independently designing and conducting psychological assessments. The graduate systematically collects information using methodological approaches to form a well-founded judgment about behavior. The graduate identifies, analyzes, and interprets data related to behavioral issues of individuals and groups. In doing so, the graduate is able to apply at least three of the following methods: observation, psychological interviewing/conversations, psychological testing and assessment using standardized and validated tools and instruments, and file analysis. 
Influencing behavior 
The graduate of the Bachelor of Applied Psychology designs and implements behavior interventions and/or provides advice based on psychological knowledge, following an analysis of a specific question or need for growth. In doing so, the graduate prioritizes the client’s autonomy and self-direction. An intervention may consist of a guidance or coaching trajectory, training, or campaigning. Interventions may be aimed at prevention or at reducing and resolving behavioral problems, whether or not in primary care settings. Prevention may also involve reinforcing already present desirable behavior. 
Practice-based behavioral research 
The graduate of the Bachelor of Applied Psychology conducts qualitative and/or quantitative research in a systematic and methodologically manner, based on a practical problem or question. This includes performing a problem analysis, formulating a research question, designing a research plan, conducting a literature review, collecting and analysing data, and drawing conclusions. Based on the findings, the graduate formulates recommendations for professional practice. The purpose of practice-based research is to improve, innovate, or otherwise support the (own) professional field. 
Professional Conduct 
The graduate of the Bachelor of Applied Psychology demonstrates the ability to think clearly and to critically evaluate and apply relevant sources within a professional context. The graduate combines an entrepreneurial mindset with a collaborative approach, recognizing opportunities where professional psychological expertise can add value, and working effectively with professionals from diverse backgrounds. The applied psychologist reflects on their own professional actions and connects these to professional values, standards, and their personal vision of the profession. In doing so, the graduate demonstrates ethical awareness by identifying dilemmas, making well-considered decisions, and justifying these in accordance with professional codes of conduct.
