Music, major Wind Band Conducting

Profile of the programme

The HaFaBra Conductor program focuses on the field of wind orchestras, fanfares and brass bands. You will learn about the rich history and traditions of wind orchestras in different contexts and you will be challenged to relate to this in your own way as a contemporary conductor. By doing internships you will learn how to manage different wind orchestras at amateur and professional level and to get the best out of the people you have in front of you. In doing so, you will come into contact with a broad repertoire, from classical to contemporary and popular music, that is representative of the HaFaBra field. The program emphasizes both the development of broad and specific technical skills, such as studying a musical instrument, and the development of an entrepreneurial attitude, for example by working on productions and projects. Graduated HaFaBra conductors work from their own artistic vision with amateur and professional wind orchestras and know how to use their skills in different contexts.
